Children's Miracle Network :

It is important for the new associate member to understand that our concept of Brotherhood goes beyond the confines of the walls of our Fraternity house and our roster of members. We have a commitment to our neighbor - whatever his color, shape, size, physical condition, or personality - for we recognize the inherent dignity and worth of each individual human being.

The brothers of Phi Kappa Theta welcome the opportunity to brighten the lives and futures of children unfortunately afflicted with disease or disability. Additional information is available from the Executive Offices on how you and your associate member class and the chapter can further our philanthropic objectives.

To nurture the belief in our commitment to Brotherhood beyond our immediate neighbors, at the 1997 convention in San Diego, the brothers of Phi Kappa Theta chose the Children's Miracle Network as our National Philanthropy. CMN is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for children's hospitals. Currently there are over 165 hospitals in the network and annually 7 million children benefit from their care. Money raised goes toward patient services, research programs, new equipment, and capital facilities. Our Newest Charity, Adopt a Highway!

Adopt-a-Highway is a Michigan Department of Transportation (M•DOT) program designed to help keep the state's highway roadsides clean and attractive.

Participants adopt both sides of a section of state highway roadside to clean up over a two-year period. All types of state highways may be adopted, including two-lane roads, limited access highways, boulevards and business routes.

Since 2004 Phi Kappa Theta has been a part  the currently 3,000 groups that are participating in the program and have adopted over 6,900 miles of Michigan highways. Phi Kappa Theta's 3 mile stretch of highway is located on U.S. 41 just north of Copper Harbor.
