History: Phi Kappa ThetaInsignia
A combination of the badges of the two parent fraternities with the Phi Kappa badge on the bottom and the Theta Kappa Phi badge on the top. The badge was designed at the time of the 1959 merger. The standard badge has four ruby points while the jeweled badge has sixteen pearls in addition to the ruby points. The "President's Badge" is worn only by chapter and national presidents; it has amethysts instead of pearls, and is passed down to succeeding generations of presidents. A miniature badge is available which may be used as a "Sweetheart" pin. Brothers wear the Badge on a dress shirt, sweater, or vest (never the outer coat) and pinned over the heart. The Badge may not be displayed on any form of jewelry. |
